In a year already buzzing with standout radio moments, 5FM’s Boipelo Mooketsi has added another high point to her growing career, taking home the Entertainment Radio Presenter of the Year award at the 2026 Basadi In Music Awards.

The win is a celebration of Boipelo’s work in radio and the unmistakable energy she continues to bring to the airwaves. It is also a moment that reflects the growing footprint of a media personality who has been steadily building her name across radio, digital and entertainment.

Boipelo, a South African broadcaster, MC, voice-over artist, Digital Host and Producer, was recognised alongside an impressive list of nominees, including Lebo Maoela of Lesedi FM, Lerato Kganyago of Metro FM, Bolele Polisa of 947 and Lebo Ndiya of Motsweding FM.

Currently holding down the late-night airwaves on 5FM’s 5 After Hours, Boipelo takes listeners through their nights every Monday to Thursday from 10 PM to 1 AM. And she is not stopping there. She also brings her youthful energy to 5FM’s Vibe Check, where she works as a Digital Host and Producer.

For someone whose career continues to stretch across different corners of the media industry, the award is a meaningful nod to the work happening both on and off the microphone. And, perhaps most importantly, Boipelo is carrying her hometown of Kimberley with her every step of the way.
