DJ Fae Fae Is Taking 2026 by Storm: Elevating Female DJs and Expanding Her Empire

Talented DJ, radio host, MC, and content producer Faith Makubung, better known as DJ Fae Fae, is stepping into the 2026 radio year with renewed focus, determination, and ambition. With her sights set firmly on growing her brand and creating opportunities for female DJs across Africa, Fae Fae is proving that she’s not just a powerhouse on the decks; she’s a visionary shaping the future of the industry.

The YFM favourite continues to host another season of ‘All Girls On Deck (AGOD)’ every Saturday from 6 PM to 8 PM, a platform that champions female DJs and provides them with a space to showcase their music, skills, and stories. The show has become a cornerstone for elevating women in a traditionally male-dominated industry, and this year, Fae Fae is expanding AGOD beyond the studio with plans for a live All Girls On Deck experience, bringing electrifying performances directly to fans.

Her focus on growth doesn’t stop at radio and live performances. Fae Fae is currently studying Music Production at Boston Media House, determined to add the title of producer to her growing portfolio. By mastering the art of production, she aims to take full control of her music, shaping her sound from the ground up and building a foundation for even more creative freedom.

Creativity for Fae Fae extends beyond music. She is also pursuing wig-making classes, a step toward launching her own hair business. She sees this as a way to diversify her skills and create new opportunities, blending entrepreneurship with artistry.

Fae Fae’s calendar for 2026 is already packed with milestones. From her birthday event and Winter tour to special initiatives for Women’s Month, she is leaving no opportunity untapped. Her mission remains clear: to unlock the potential of female DJs across Africa, amplify their voices, and build a supportive community that extends from South Africa to the global stage.

Speaking on her ambitions, Fae Fae shares: “This year already feels exciting, I am ready to take my career, brand and other parts of my life to greater heights. I have come a long way and have learned so much. I plan on levelling up my skill set, be it going back to school, starting a business, or taking All Girls On Deck on tour. I want the world to know that yes, we look good, but we also know how to actually DJ. We are growing a community of female DJs, not only in South Africa, but throughout Africa and ultimately the rest of the world. It’s time to embrace female DJs and recognise our talent altogether because we are here to stay. Through my platforms and opportunities, elevating women is my end goal, while enjoying the journey.”

With her focus, drive, and vision, DJ Fae Fae is positioning herself as more than a DJ; she’s a cultural leader, entrepreneur, and mentor for the next generation of female talent. Her dedication to learning, expanding her brand, and elevating women in the industry ensures that 2026 will be a year of growth, impact, and inspiration.

Through her work on All Girls On Deck and beyond, Fae Fae is proving that the future of African music is not only in talented hands but in those that lift others while creating their own legacy.
