e.tv is stepping into a new era of weeknight viewing with the launch of its Golden Hour, a dedicated space for local storytelling, anchored by two highly anticipated original dramas,eGagasini: Waves of Change and The Four of Us.

Premiering on Monday, 29 June 2026, eGagasini: Waves of Change will air at 19:30, followed by The Four of Us at 20:00. Together, the two productions deliver a full hour of drama shaped by ambition, family conflict, betrayal, love, music, and legacy.

Featuring some of South Africa’s most celebrated actors alongside a new generation of talent, both series reflect e.tv’s continued commitment to authentic, high-quality local storytelling that resonates across audiences.

eGagasini: Waves of Change

Set against the backdrop of Durban’s evolving music scene, eGagasini: Waves of Change follows three best friends from Umlazi, Lwandle, Njabulo, and Sihle, whose lives shift overnight after a viral music video pushes their trio, Truth or Dare, into the spotlight.

But as quickly as their rise begins, it is complicated by a devastating secret. A tragic accident aboard a yacht leaves a young woman dead, binding the trio together in a pact of silence that threatens everything they are building.

At the centre of the story is veteran actor Meshack Mavuso as Senzo Dube, a once-iconic music producer determined to rebuild his legacy and restore Umlilo Records to its former influence.

Alongside him, Gugu Gumede plays Phumelela Dube, his wife, business partner, and the strategic force behind the label. Calculated, ambitious, and composed, she becomes instrumental in shaping the rise of Truth or Dare.

Nolwazi Tsebesha stars as Noxolo Dube, the couple’s daughter, confident, accomplished, and navigating the pressure of expectation, as her path becomes increasingly intertwined with the group.

The trio at the heart of the story brings a new energy to the screen:
Aphelele Shezi as Njabulo, a visionary producer driven by ambition; Nomfundo Radebe as Sihle, a bold vocalist determined to claim her place; Londeka Mkhwanazi as Lwandle, a gifted singer caught between purpose and pressure.

Supported by a wider cast including Ntando Mncube, Duduzile Ngcobo, Mduduzo Nombela, and Anele Nene, the series blends music, romance, and suspense, exploring the cost of ambition and the weight of secrets that refuse to stay buried.

The Four of Us

At 20:00, The Four of Us shifts into a different kind of intensity, a layered family drama centred on the influential Dhlomo family, where power, legacy, and long-held resentment collide.

Leading the cast is SAFTA Award-winning actress Sindi Dlathu as Busani Dhlomo, the eldest sibling who has carried the responsibility of the family for years. Her commitment to preserving her father’s legacy comes at a personal cost, one she continues to bear in silence.

Opposite her, Sdumo Mtshali stars as Bobbi Dhlomo, determined to step out of his sister’s shadow and claim his position as head of the family.

Thembinkosi Mthembu plays Banzi Dhlomo, the overlooked middle sibling whose search for belonging shapes much of the family’s emotional tension, while Kealeboga Masango embodies the youngest sibling, a free spirit navigating identity, grief, and independence.

At the centre of the family’s foundation is Sibongile Nojila as Masechaba “Gogozi” Dhlomo, a matriarch whose quiet influence continues to shape the family’s direction.

The extended family deepens the story further:
Seipati Mahamu as Lethabo, holding onto hope for love and belonging; Lebohang Lephatsoane as Malusi, bringing charisma and energy; Nombulelo Letsosa as Luyanda, navigating identity and expectation; Pascaline Phale as Mafusi, a long-serving housekeeper who speaks truth without hesitation.

Beyond the Dhlomo household, the narrative expands through Papi’s family, with Dumisani Dlamini as Papi, a man driven by the need to reclaim what he believes is rightfully his, alongside Rami Chuene as Vera, and Nthabiseng Kgosana as Bassie, whose loyalty fuels that ambition.

The story is further layered through the Nhlapho family, with Hope Mbhele as Ndumi, a woman carrying responsibility while trying to build a better future, supported by rising talents Quinton Madlala and Tebogo Malapane.
